The first Relay for Life in Portsmouth was held in 1996! Ever since it has got bigger and better every year!

Through the support of local businesses and many volunteers, the Relay now includes entertainment such as a DJ and live bands, as well as games, a bouncy castle and face-painting for the children.

The main aim of Relay for Life is to raise money for Cancer Research UK and to raise awareness!

 

The teams raise money in sponsorship for participating in the Relay for Life, as well as through raffles, cake-sales, car-wash schemes and many other fundraising ideas!

 

Cancer Research UK provides information to raise awareness about cancer, and the work that Cancer Research UK does, like; funding research into cures and providing support and information to people whose lives have been affected by cancer.
